Can I volunteer as a counsellor at Kids Help Phone?
No, we do not have volunteer opportunities in our counselling centre. All of Kids Help Phone’s counsellors are paid professionals with three to five years of experience in social services and telephone or web-based counselling.

Are there volunteer opportunities in my location?
Kids Help Phone invites adults and young people to become volunteers in schools and communities across Canada (as ambassadors, event volunteers, etc.). If you are interested in getting involved, please complete a volunteer registration form.

Does Kids Help Phone offer student placements?
Yes. Kids Help Phone offers placements for students from a variety of program areas. If you are interested in fulfilling your co-op placement at Kids Help Phone, please complete a volunteer registration form and check off co-op/ placement.

How can I help with the Walk so Kids Can Talk presented by BMO?
The Walk is an annual fundraising event benefiting young people across Canada which happens on the first Sunday in May each year. You can learn more about getting involved at walksokidscantalk.ca/volunteer.

I want to volunteer for Kids Help Phone but I’m not sure what I can do. What do you suggest?
Simply apply to volunteer online here and take the training to become a Kids Help Phone ambassador in your school or community.

How can I represent Kids Help Phone as a spokesperson?
While we thank you for your interest in representing us, Kids Help Phone is not looking for spokespeople at this time. However, we do have an ambassador program for student and adult volunteers who raise awareness about Kids Help Phone in schools and communities. If you are interested in getting involved, please complete a volunteer registration form.

I am a musician interested in sharing Kids Help Phone’s message – how can I do that?
Kids Help Phone is supported by many artists throughout Canada. If you are a musician or other artist, there are several ways you can help raise awareness about our services:

If you have a music video and would like to ask our permission to include Kids Help Phone’s logo in it, please contact us. Be sure to include a link to your video, along with any relevant information about your band or your project. Please note that Kids Help Phone does not necessarily endorse videos and as such requires a disclaimer be included when we do grant permission to use our logo.

How can I organize a school tour to talk about Kids Help Phone?
Please note that Kids Help Phone does not help secure venues, organize tours, or liaise with schools or other contacts. Kids Help Phone is also unable to endorse any external school programs at this time.
